Surrendering.

It’s so interesting how the meanings of words change depending on where you are in life and what you are doing there. The much younger version of me would have probably worn a Tee proclaiming No Surrender ๐Ÿ˜.

Now, for me, surrendering is allowing, surrendering is releasing, surrendering is putting down my burden, surrendering is rest, surrendering is letting someone else do the work for me.

Surrendering is letting go the urge to fight, to push, to resist, to try and change something. But not in defeat and certainly not rejecting our needs in any way. Surrender is when we open up to the design of the universe and place our trust in the wisdom of the universe.

If you are struggling with something or things are just not working in your favour today, just let it go. Trust and surrender it to the universe. If it’s good for you and meant for you it will happen and if it doesn’t, it is not for you. This is sometimes difficult to accept because there is that go getter part of us that wants to do something and there is the part of us that yearns for something, but if you trust and if you surrender, know that something equally wonderful is on it’s way to you.

You will find a rush of relief when you let go your struggle. And you will realise that you were probably deviating from your path or maybe the timing was just not right. Letting go of the reins is never easy but it is oh so relaxing.

One of my favourite affirmations is I surrender to the will of the universe’. See if it works for you today ๐Ÿ˜˜
