I’ve been watching Tidying up with Marie Kondo (anyone seen it? On Netflix. So satisfies my ocd aspect 😁). She talks about only keeping things that spark joy and thanking the things that don’t and letting them go. It’s a pretty good life tool as well, to surround yourself with people who spark joy within you and to do all the things that spark joy – and let slide all the things that don’t (with thanks of course).
The universe rewards us when we are in high vibrational states of love and joy. Many things happen in life to get us down and while there is (and should be) the space for sadness, try to find the little things that give you that spark of joy. I don’t mean that you should force anything or pretend to feel anything you don’t feel but just try and do something that makes you feel happy. Or just be with someone that makes you feel happy.
I’m reminded of this poem by Rose Milligan
